REPUBLICAN BRIEFS
Republican-Senator-Jeff-Flake-Announces-He’s Not-Running-For Senate-ReelectionCondemning the nastiness of Republican politics in the era of President Donald Trump, Sen. Jeff Flake on Tuesday announced he will serve out the remainder of his term but will not seek re-election in 2018. The bombshell, which Flake, R-Ariz., intended to detail Tuesday afternoon on the Senate floor, will further roil Republican hopes of keeping the party's 52-seat Senate majority in the midterm elections of Trump's first term, when the president's party historically loses seats in Congress. It also likely will upend the race for Flake's seat.
Rep. Trent Franks Reacting To The News That Sen. Jeff Flake will not be seeking re-election in 2018: “In spite of our sometimes stark political differences, I consider Senator Jeff Flake a truly decent human being and a man who loves God, his country and his fellow human beings. I wish him and his family the very best God can give them during his remaining time in the Senate and going forward in life.”

Sen Jeff Flake: I have made the decision not to seek reelection as United States Senator. It was a difficult choice, but it is what I feel is best for myself, my family, and for Arizona. I want to thank you and the thousands of others for the support of my campaign this year and for years past. Without your help, I would not have been able to win election to the U.S. House and then the Senate. Together, we helped advance the cause of limited government, economic freedom, and individual liberty. Even though my time in Congress will come to an end in January of 2019, I will continue to advance the conservative principles I've believed in my entire life. What a wonderful country we have.
Political Activist Lolly Hathhorn says “Jeff Flake just made my day!” It is time that the RINOs take a hike. As a loyal supporter of President Trump, I am glad to get rid of one more of the opposition. He is a disgrace to the Party and should have known that you cannot go against the people and expect to be re-elected. He is a Flake Fake! Thumbs up to President Trump. Anyone who goes after my President expect me to go after you. Good riddance! I would like to know where our AZ Republicans stand on this. Man up and take a stand. Who are you with? Who do you trust? What do you stand for? I, for one, stand with my President, Donald Trump. What say YOU?
