REPUBLICAN BRIEFS
NOTES FROM READERS
Editor’s Note:Please keep opinion pieces to 400 words
Author Tom Morrissey: Earlier this week a blitz of nasty reviews suddenly appeared on our new novel on Amazon. I know that the storyline of "The Way Of The Shadow Wolves" has vastly upset the Establishment and other Deep State people but these reviews are almost childish in their comments. I know the source of at least one of them (not unexpected) but the rest are an organized attempt at burying a book that has helped many of those who have read it to understand what has been really going on in this country. If you have already purchased this book, please take a moment to write an honest review of it and post it on Amazon to help counter this attack from the Left. They do not like what Steven Seagal and I have been able to convey and they are now in an attack mode, trying to silence us. Any help on your part will be appreciated and effective. – Morrissey is a former AZGOP Chairman.
Activist Gary Ripley: I would just like to add my voice of support to you and your work on Briefs as so many others have. The arrogant, entitled, smug superiority complex of the recent detractor (yes, you know who you are) was highly offensive and is a demonstration of why we are so soundly REJECTING the establishment GOP who simply want us to SHUT UP and do as we are told. Every now and then their mask slips and we see how they truly feel when they let loose with their actual feelings that they are our betters and we, the proletariat, exist to serve their will. Remember this moment of transparency by the elitist and know so many feel the same way about the grassroots who do the work in the trenches. Remember it well. As Elephants we have a much longer memory than RINO's and we must separate the RINO's from our herd. So Frosty, ignore, embargo, or whatever you choose to do with those who do not value all you do it’s up to you. But know this, we love and appreciate all you do AND know WE HAVE YOUR BACK as we know you have ours. Merry Christmas and a Trumptastic New Year to you, John Strasser and to all my fellow Briefs enthusiasts.
LD24 Activist Carole Joyce: Thanks for all the coverage you provide to all of us. For years you wrote Fire Department news and always give us factual, honest coverage of our political news that we all appreciate. You’re the Best! You’re a “Gem,” Frosty!
Gilbert Watch Blogger Anita Christy: Thank you, Frosty, for publishing Republican Briefs all these years and including so many issues, letters, articles, comments, etc., from all over Arizona. Virtually every day, when I see your email in my inbox, rain or shine, I think, “Good. All is well with Frosty.” Like you, although on a much, much smaller scale, I publish articles for no compensation and because it’s simply what I want to do. I agree 100% with everything that American Freedom Blogger Barbara Espinosa and others wrote (12-20-17 Briefs ). You aren’t a paid employee or elected official. The Briefs are “your baby,” and, after years of being required to answer to somebody else, you are Free At Last! (Those who criticize are often young—God Love’em--and hopefully they learn through their errors in judgment to think and ponder before writing rants.).
Activist Barbara Medal: Just want to not only wish you a very Merry Christmas and a Blessed and Joyous New Year but to offer my thanks for all you do for the Republican Party in spite of attacks by snowflakes like Torunn Sinclair. 12-20-17 Briefs You do a phenomenal job and provide the Party with great information as well as an outlet for our voices to be heard. So many of us who really have no other way to be heard truly appreciate your hard work and dedication to preserving our liberty and outlet free speech. And your fairness in even giving the opposing point of view by those who claim to represent us, yet don't represent anything but their own job security. God bless you always.
Photographer John Schalk: Thank you very much for doing these Republican Briefs, you're the best!!!

Eager to explore new opportunities, she immigrated to the United States in 1998 with a J-1 Work Visa, coupled with a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and unbridled ambition. Monica received her Master’s degree in International Relations and Political Science, and quickly worked to acquaint herself with likeminded conservative peers. In the interim, Yelin was appointed Commissioner of Hispanic Affairsby Mayor Nicholas Capozzi, of Manorhaven, NY in 2002. She is a former NY Grassroots Committee Chair and has volunteered for United Way and Special Olympics. In 2005, Yelin became an official citizen of the United States of America, consummating the feat by registering as a Republican on the very day her citizenship was granted. Since then, she has remained steadfast in her commitment to supporting the principles of the Republican Platform. Today, Yelin has worked to promote a conservative agenda for over a decade through a multitude of appointments and volunteer contributions. Yelin currently serves as a Precinct Committeewoman for Legislative District 1, as well as a Community Affairs Committee Co-chair for the AZ GOP. Monica proudly volunteered for the Trump Campaign. A devoted wife and active member of the community, Monica believes that faith, family, integrity, hard work, and perseverance are the cornerstones to individual and communal wellbeing. She approaches each day with these values in mind, always eager to do her part in making a difference in Maricopa County. She looks forward to becoming your next Maricopa County Republicans Member-at-Large.
LD13 Republican Sine Kerr has applied for the appointment to the senate seat vacated by LD13 Sen Steve Montenegro. US Senate candidate Debbie Lesko: “I'm in! After much prayer and analysis I have decided to run for Congress to fill Trent Frank's seat in CD8. I have a long track record of working hard for the Republican Party for over 20 years serving as an officer of the State, County, and District Republican Parties, 1st Vice President of Arrowhead Republican Women, and the Maricopa County Voter Registration Chairman. I currently serve as the Senate President Pro-Tempore and Senate Appropriations Chairman. I also have a long track record of taking on big issues in the state legislature and getting them passed into law, like pension, tax, and education reform. Plus I've passed legislation to directly help my constituents like eliminating photo radar on state highways, helping patients settle surprise medical bills, and helping golf cart drivers in the Sun Cities. I am the only Republican woman who has announced in a field of men. I plan to win! If you can help, please contact me at Debbie@DebbieLesko.com or 623-878-9761. Linda Brickman: As an incumbent Member at Large (MAL) for Maricopa County Republicans, I am running for re-election not only to continue in service to the Party, but also to maintain continuity within the EGC heading into the critical 2018 midterm elections. Over the past two years, I have been actively engaged in on behalf of Chairman Herring and the EGC in -
- Representing the MRC at LD meetings across the County (LD1, 15, 22, 28, 30 and others as requested),
- Closely following and reporting on Arizona legislative activities,
- Working with the RNC Strategic Partnerships Director to help develop a cohesive RNC/AZGOP/Local GOP Leaders team,
- Active in fundraising,
- Helping to support all ECG activities (e.g., Lincoln Day Lunch; Constitution Day, Voter Registration activities, PC Enrollment, Ballot Harvesting Issues and Research), as well as
- Supporting local events and activities.
During my current two-year term, I was also a participant in the “Making America Great Again” revolution culminating in the election of President Trump - as a Precinct Committeeman, Precinct Captain and State Committeeman from LD15 , voted as a Delegate to the National Convention in Cleveland, Ohio as well as being elected to the Rules Committee. I have seen the resurgence of enthusiasm and patriotism within the Party at all levels. And I have seen a willingness again in our Legislature and Governor Ducey’s office to address those aspects of President Trump’s agenda requiring State action. Given that, I recently accepted the appointment by ACT for America, the nation’s largest grassroots national security organization, as the AZ State Chairman for Legislative Affairs, to mobilize elected officials to impact national security legislative outcomes to protect America. I am requesting your vote to return me as MAL for another two-year term. I pledge to continue to put your interests first, while supporting President Trump’s “Making America Great Again” agenda. CANDIDATE COMMENTARY
US Sen candidate Clair Van Steenwyk: This is more of the same for me and deserves being shouted from the roof tops. I never left any candidate out of a forum or interview on my shows when they were running and that included the 13 that I believe ran in 2010 for the house seat John Shadegg retired from. And that was a scheduling nightmare but what the Media is supposed to do. We haven't got an honest system in AZ and haven't for a long time. I just got off the phone with the AZ Grassroots group in Tucson. Once again same poll - Yee, Lesko, Stump, Lovas, Montegro. I again asked them why Clair Van Steenwyk wasn't in the poll since he is the only one running who's actually challenged Rep. Franks not once but twice. The young man said he would ask his supervisor. His boss asked who wants to know? The pollster said the voter on the phone told him that candidate isn't in their poll and therefore it's a fake poll. The supervisor then told him that he’s not going to be in the poll; mumbled something else and the line went dead. I tried to call back 520-320-1318 and couldn't get anything but a recording telling me to dial again and still no response. See http://vanscrossroads.com/2017/12/az-gop-grassroots-fake-news-polls/. There's no way we can ever expect fair treatment or outcomes of elections when those in The Az Septic Tank Fix The Polls In Favor Of The Proven Career Politicians. This just ends up with more of the same types in DC and everywhere else.
