Larry Sorenso, PC LD-22: I authored a heartfelt note that was published in "Briefs" two weeks ago. 3-14-18 Briefs archives I intended my note to be interpreted a sincere personal request that our candidate address a question that was lingering, I thought, well after the election. Since my memo, I have been made aware of Debbie Lesko's comments made at a recent LD 22 meeting, spoken with several individual PC's, obtained a copy of the original campaign finance complaint (2-21-18) and a copy of the Office of the Arizona State Attorney General (SAG) formal reply to the complaint dated 2-28-18. I understand that Debbie addressed the group with a sincere statement of innocence. The SAG letter, prepared by Eric Spencer, State Elections Director, Senate Re-election Committee, reads in part: "The Secretary of State finds no reasonable cause to believe that Lesko for Senate violated Arizona campaign finance law and dismisses the complaint accordingly.", emphasis added. It is important for all of us to be aware of these facts and that we all move forward in a united effort to ensure that OUR candidate, Debbie Lesko, triumphs in the upcoming election. I have also received many personal notes and calls of support from fellow PC's. Much of the background work that has resolved this issue was underway well before my memo and so this positive resolution is in no way my doing but rather a testimonial of how to professionally address issues that may arise. The comments are all rather humbling and I want to assure all that I will work hard during upcoming election in support of Debbie and all upcoming elections in support of OUR future candidates.
