Barbara Espinosahas got it right in her America Freedom by Barbara blog. She’s provided a list of phone numbers for readers to call in support of TV show hostess Laura Ingraham and hercommentary regarding the leftist, anti-gun indoctrinated teenage windbag David Hogg. As you may recall, young know- it-all Hogg started a boycott against Ingraham’s advertisers… and some of the weak-kneed CEO’s buckled. Now grassroots Americans are on a “Stand With Laura” crusade to let the CEO’s know they disapprove of top management caving in to Hogg’s spoon-fed propaganda and pulling their advertising from Ingraham’s t popular show. She led a ‘prayer at the borders’ in early October 2016 and they didn’t like it, according to GTPA facilitator Francine Romesburg. LD13 candidate Brent Backus (left) met internationally known author Trevor Loudon during the March 31 Colorado River Tea Party meeting in Yuma. Backus says, “Loudon’s latest book ‘The Enemies Within’ is an eye-opener that everyone must read. The book details the Communists, socialists and progressives in the US Congress, including US Rep Raul Grijalva and Kystena Sinema. It’s time to get them out of office and give them a plane ticket to Russia. Hmmm… where is the FBI?,” he questions.
And Speaking Of Eye Opening Books. Take the time to read “The Way of The Shadow Wolves” by Tom Morrissey and Steven Seagal. They may call their book fiction, but any southern Arizona law enforcement officer can verify that the book is far more truth than fiction. Another expert on the real situation on the border is Zack Taylor, chairman of the National Association of Former Border Patrol Officers, www.NAFBPO.org who has appeared before congress and many Arizona organizations in his efforts to education the public with the truth. He’s been telling audiences for years that big $$$ benefactors are keeping the border open regardless of what the border ranchers and law enforcement officers are coping with. - ft

The Arizona Department of Transportation has scheduled a 6 pm., Tues., April 3 public meeting at Cãnon Elementary School, 34630 S. School Loop Road, in Black Canyon City to provide an update about an ongoing study of potential improvements along Interstate 17 between Anthem and Cordes Junction. ADOT, in coordination with the Federal Highway Administration, has been studying options for adding new travel lanes along I-17, with a focus on the 23-mile stretch between Anthem Way and Sunset Point Rest Area. Editor’s Note: Please keep opinion pieces to 400 words. If extended, they will be subject to editing. Opinions expressed below are not necessarily those of the Briefs. Briefs does not endorse candidates. – ft
CD9 candidate Dave Giles: Police Safety: PLEA recently took a stand on inaccuracies mouthed by the Phoenix Mayor. Numerous officers have been killed and others injured as a result of open border and sanctuary city policies that facilitate unlawful entry into the US. “While Police Officers are shot, it is incomprehensible for elected officials to make derogatory and untrue remarks,” Dave Giles, CD9 candidate remarked.
Corporation Commission candidate Jim O’Connor: Today, I am reporting our status on nominating petitions and $5 Qualifying Contributions. The Secretary of State recommends we collect 8,000 petition signatures, with 6,223 valid signatures required to qualify for the ballot. We have just 6,000 of those in hand. Our deadline is May 30, 2018, but we’d like to hit that goal by April 30th. As for $5 Qualifying Contributions, Clean Elections recommends 1,800 against a mandatory 1,500 requirement. As of today, we have 1,000 on hand. Our campaign does not receive any funding until all donor forms are turned in and approved above the minimum requirement of 1,500. We need to get this done ASAP. With your help, especially promoting the $5 contributions from your family members and friends, we will meet this goal.
Campaign Roadmap: My campaign manager, Peter Mains is a brilliant young man with a robust advertising program prepared to launch a soon as our funding comes in. We will receive $108,000 for our Primary campaign which will roll out during June, July and August for the August 28th Primary. When we finish in the top two of the Republican Primary, Clean Elections will provide us with an additional $163,000 for the two-month and one-week General Election campaign ending with a win in the November 6th Election. My campaign kick-off party launched November 18th, beginning a busy season. To date we have raised $17,250.00 of the allowable “seed money” of $27,811. We are still collecting contributions from friends willing to support the campaign expenses prior to receiving the public funding. Contributions are limited to a maximum of $160 per donor. Since kick-off we have participated in 43 events around the state with another 15 scheduled in April. The campaign has been well received with evidence being signatures, $5 contributions and attendee feedback. I am so grateful for all that you have done and hope that you will stay the course with me through the remainder of this campaign. You are an encouragement to me. Onward to victory.
Senate candidate Dr. Kelli: Mike Ward here reaching out for Kelli. I know you know as well as I do how hard Kelli has been working for this campaign and the people it represents, so I'm urging you to give her a special "thank you" by contributing to the campaign. chip-in Martha McSally is betting on the Swamp to hand her a victory, but Kelli is counting on grassroots patriots in Arizona and across this great country to soundly defeat McSally and her fake conservatism. The stakes are high right now -- and your immediate support will help us continue running full-speed against McSally and the Establishment that's pushing hard for her win. - Dr. Michael Ward, Husband and #1 Supporter.
CD1Candidate Wendy Rogers: Just wanted to give you an update about our very important fundraising goal. We are doing GREAT. We have raised over $95,000, but still, need more or the Democrats will attack and say we don't have what it takes to win this race. My district is the NUMBER ONE district in the nation we are going to flip from Democrat to Republican. I will fight the Democrats and won't hold back. But first I have to raise our goal. Thank you for your help in saving the Republic. - Wendy Rogers, Lt Col USAF (ret)

ELECTED OFFICIALS COMMENTARY
Congressman Martha McSally: Big news. In response to my questioning during last week's House Armed Services Committee hearing, Air Force Secretary Heather Wilson went on the record and committed to keeping the A-10 flying “at least until 2030." This is the first time that any Air Force Secretary has gone on the record publically to support keeping the A-10 fleet operational into the 2030’s. Two years ago I was fighting to prevent the A-10 from being mothballed entirely. Now, the A-10 is an asset the Air Force is committed to keep in the air for the next twelve years, at the least. This commitment is a significant win for military readiness, close air support for troops fighting ISIS and Russian aggression, and Davis-Monthan Air Force Base. Click HERE to learn more. I also successfully included $103 million to restart A-10 wing production in the funding bill that passed the House last week. Click HERE for a list of the wins for Arizona in the bill.
Board of Supervisors Clint Hickman: Our District is large and I do my best to cover as much ground as possible. I've enjoyed meeting with neighborhood residents to address a concern in their area and helped appoint two Senators - Sine Kerr and Rick Gray. I have shared information about county updates and have made myself accessible in Wickenburg, Sun City and Sun City West. I met the new CEO of Nikola Motors, a company who will be bringing jobs to the West Valley and attended a meeting with Maricopa County Industrial Development Authority who promotes economic development through low-cost financing and community investments to learn what new projects may come to the West Valley. I participate in the El Rio Steering Committee, a planning group who oversees what may happen with on the El Rio and the progress being made.
