Navajo County Republican Committee Chairman Steve Slaton: LOOKS LIKE COLLUSION BETWEEN SENATOR ALLEN AND AZGOP! We challenge the statement by Chairman Jonathan Lines and AZGOP general council, recognizing the new NCRC leadership: Let’s get this cleared up once and for all because the AZGOP, their lawyers (McCain) and Sylvia Allen have decided that the illegal meeting that was held to remove the existing NCRC officers …..  was deemed, legal.  

    The NCRC by-laws were clearly violated in this meeting call and continue to be no matter what their conclusion is.  We have stated many times and put in writing a copy of the bylaws and the meeting procedures that the committee MUST follow.   That includes the AZGOP and its chairman and executive committee.  

   Because the AZGOP and Chairman Lines have refused to hand over records to the duly elected secretary and treasurer since January 2017, and have gotten away with it because the AZGOP members have not stood up and demanded the AZGOP committee follow the law, they’ve clearly been given a mandate to do whatever it is they deem necessary to achieve their goal and that is to purge the party of all conservative GOP members.  After all, we are not McCain supporters. We will continue this fight on the principle of the rule of law…. that no man is above the law, certainly not Chairman Lines, a puppet of McCain and his council, the real power behind the AZGOP, who have withdrawn their financial support due to the recent recall effort to remove Lines.   This is as corrupt a committee as you’ll ever encounter so who would, in their right mind, want to be a part of it other than supporting our president, who truly encompasses our passion for American values and is willing to fight for us all.   We will do the same here in Navajo county.     Editor’s Note: Also see Jim Vance statement 12-5-17-briefs.

The Western Pinal County Chapter of AZRA will meet at 6:30 pm., Dec 11 at 408 N Sacaton St #2 in Casa Grande to hear LD8 Rep David Cook, who is up for re-election. Cook, a life-long Arizonan, owns and operate the DC Cattle Company. In his first term he has established himself as a leader on issues that relate to ranching, agriculture, rural issues, water, and education. His focus on getting government out of the people’s way has resulted in him being able to vote on bills to bring more jobs and growth to Arizona. He and his wife Diana have two children. Cathy Herrod, President of the Center for Arizona Policy (CAP) , was among those attending a rally Tuesday morning on the steps of the United States Supreme Court in Washington, D.C. where nine Supreme Court judges heard the case of Masterpiece Cakeshop, Ltd. v. Colorado Civil Rights Commission. See Herrod interview Arizona Congressman Andy Biggs and others at the CAP Facebook page. Herrod reports they will probably not get a Court’s ruling until late psring or early summer. They will probably rally at the Arizona State Capitol in January to promote and defend the right of all to live and work according to their faith.

The Arizona Game and Fish Department and the Southern Arizona Quail Forever Chapter are conducting a free inaugural Quail Festival between 1-4 pm., Sat., Dec 9 at Pioneer Hall at the Sonoita Fairgrounds, 3142 S. Grassroots Republicans are urged to sign Archie Dicksion’s Proxy Petition To Curb Proxy Abuse Http://Bit.Ly/2rzg2w8. When signing the petition, you have two choices, total ban or limit to two per person. There has been great concern over the use of proxies the past five or years or more to control elections at both the AZGOP and Maricopa County Republican Mandatory meeting held every January. Complaints have been voiced for several years of “Bell Cows” carrying up to 40 proxies for PC who rarely, if ever attend meetings. Opponents of the excessive use of proxies say the misuse and abuse of proxies has resulted in the cleansing of conservative grassroots Republicans from leadership roles a at the district, county and state level by RINOs or McCainites.

An Arizona Pearl Harbor Remembrance Ceremony is scheduled at 10:55 am., Thurs., Dec 7 at Wesley Bolen Memorial Plaza in Phoenix in memory that 183 Japanese attacked US Military and Naval facilities on Oahu in the in the Hawaiian Islands without warning Casualties to U.S. personnel were:2.343 killed, 960 missing and 1,272 wounded All 8 U.S. battleships at anchor in Pearl Harbor were sunk or damaged & 151 U.S. planes were destroyed on the ground. At a cost of only 28 attacking airplanes shot down, the Japanese had dealt a staggering blow. Dec 8^th the U.S. declared war on Japan. Between the Mast and Anchor of the USS Arizona rests the historic gun barrels from the USS Arizona and USS Missouri as a representation of the beginning and end of the war. Between the barrels, a steel structure in the shape of the USS Arizona's hull displays the names of Arizona's servicemen and women who died during WWII. For those of you that have never visited the free Capital Museum the first floor contain many rooms filled with artifacts from the USS Arizona as well as models, pictures and a piece of the hull.

The November meeting was cancelled to allow for the 14-day nomination period.  If a precinct committeemen cannot attend this meeting, a proxy form can be voted in your absence. According to MCRC Bylaws Article IV, Section 3 – Proxies, “The proxy must be carried by a registered Republican currently residing in the same Precinct,and must be signed by a Notary or two (2) witnesses other than the proxy carrier and the PC," according to Matt King. On Nov 22, 2016 the following officers were elected by the LD 13 precinct committeeman: Chairman – Chairmann; 1^st VC – Matt King, 2 VC - Michael Carbone, Secretary – Karri King and Treasurer – Kim Schoag. 37 state delegates were elected the same evening.

The Arizona Department of Revenue will conduct a public auction of unclaimed property at noon, Fri, Dec 8 at Sierra Auction, 3570 Grand Avenue in Phoenix, feature a variety of merchandise including vintage U.S. currency, jewelry and precious metals. Live in-person bids will be accepted, and bids can also be placed online at www.sierraauction.com prior to the auction as well as during a live, online simulcast of the auction. An online auction is being held at www.sierraauction.com  from Dec. 6 to Dec. 10 until 5 p.m. The auction is for property from safe deposit boxes that has been unclaimed for a period of at least five years. Proceeds from items sold via auction are transferred to a custodial account and will remain available to their rightful owners for claiming. There is no deadline to file a claim. The Arizona Department of Revenue's Unclaimed Property Unit returns millions of dollars of unclaimed property to their rightful owners every year. In fiscal year 2017 (July 1, 2016 to June 30, 2017), more than $57 million was paid out to claimants, the best year on record.  The Department returns property to owners who provide documentation showing their right to claim the property. People must include with their claim form a valid photo ID, such as a driver’s license or other applicable identification, and documentation linking them to the owner’s last known address, as reported by the company that filed the unclaimed property. Claimants must also provide documentation demonstrating a legal right to claim any property listed in another name. Also, Scottsdale is going through a tug-of-war trying to keep the Sonoran McDowell Preserve just that... a preserve.  The City Council wants to turn it into a Disney Land type facility.  Councilman Guy Phillips will discuss the latest developments in the We the People vs the Developers to preserve the Preserve.
