The Arizona Game And Fish Department Needs Volunteers to assist with spotlighting efforts to help document the population of endangered black-footed ferrets in Aubrey Valley and on the Double O Ranch near Seligman on March 29-31 and April 26-29. The spotlighting method involves using high-powered lights to locate and identify black-footed ferrets. Their eyeshine is reflected by the spotlight and helps surveyors with identifying and locating these elusive, nocturnal carnivores. Volunteers must have the ability to stay attentive from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. while spotlighting for black-footed ferrets and use, or learn how to use, a Global Positioning System (GPS). Volunteers can sign up by e-mailing azferret@azgfd.gov -- with “spring spotlighting” in the subject line – by March 23 for this month’s project and by April 20 for the later opportunity. Volunteers are reminded to include their full name, a contact phone number, month(s) and night(s) available to spotlight, and full names of others who also will be attending (a parent or guardian must accompany any youth under 18). Volunteers also should note any equipment they can bring, such as GPS, clipboard, headlamp, pen, binoculars, walkie-talkies, compass, cordless rechargeable spotlight, back-pack or 4X4 vehicle. A total of 19 individual black-footed ferrets were captured in 2017, slightly up from 16 in 2016. Of those 19, nine were captured in Aubrey Valley and 10 on the Double O Ranch. Almost 200 volunteers totaled 2,086 spotlighting hours over the course of the spring and fall projects. Visit www.azgfd.gov/wildlife and click on “Nongame Species” for more information about the black-footed ferret recovery effort.

Republican National Committee (RNC) Chairwoman Ronna McDaniel calls on Democrat National Committee Chair Tom Perez to address Deputy Chair Keith Ellison’s pattern of lies surrounding his relationship with Louis Farrakhan: "Keith Ellison’s long pattern of lies about his ongoing relationship with Louis Farrakhan, who the Anti-Defamation League calls 'America’s leading anti-Semite,' has put a stain on the Democrat Party," said McDaniel. "Anti-Semitism has no place in American politics, Tom Perez must address this issue."Examples of Louis Farrakhan’s hate speech:
- Jewish people are "satanic."
- Hitler is a "very great man."
- "White people deserve to die."
- Jews are responsible for "filth and degenerate behavior."
Maricopa County Recorder Adrian Fontes released the official canvass and results of the Congressional District 8 Special Primary Election this week. The report identified the winning candidates and showed that overall turnout was 25.6 percent, with the vast majority of people voting early. There were just more than 108,000 early ballots, compared to nearly 8,500 ballots cast on Election Day. "Thanks to the collaboration with the Maricopa Board of Supervisors and the Arizona Secretary of State, we were able to ensure the voters of Congressional District 8 had an accurate, accessible, efficient election,” Fontes said. “There were challenges that we are learning from but overall this was a successful undertaking, especially considering the shortened timeline that a special election presents." Maricopa County Elections Director Rey Valenzuela added that most voters experienced negligible wait times at voting locations and the county’s new check-in system contributed to a decrease in the number of provisional ballots cast. There were only 531 provisional ballots, 447 of which were verified and counted. Provisional ballots, which require additional, labor-intensive steps to validate and process, have bogged down the county’s elections, creating longer lines at the polls and delaying results. "That was not the case in this election," Valenzuela said. "Wait times were reduced dramatically and we got great feedback from the public on the new Site Book check-in system." A copy of the official canvas report can be found here. Official election results are available here.
The State of Arizona Research Library continues its 2018 Arizona Author Series by hosting its second event with co-authors, Alan Day & Lynn Wiese Sneyd, authors of Cowboy Up! Life Lessons from Lazy B at 3 pm., April 6. The second installment in this year’s special event series will be held on the second floor mezzanine of the Polly Rosenbaum State Archives and History Building where both Day and Wisese Sneyd will discuss what it was like to write and publish their newest book. “We can’t wait to host Alan and Lynn in the next installment of the Arizona Author Series,” said Arizona Secretary of State Michele Reagan. “The attendance at each of these events continues to increase and that’s a testament to the quality of speakers the library has brought in. Alan and Lynn will undoubtedly prove to be yet another exceptional pair in this year’s series of speakers.” “[Cowboy Up reflects] on the life of the everyday cowboy with all its trials and tribulations better than anything I’ve ever read. They range from dealing with the capricious vicissitudes of nature, friendships, horse wrecks and winning the trust of horses through patience and love. They also tell of man’s close relationship to the land and all God’s critters that inhabit it,” says State historian Marshall Trimble.

Archie Dicksion: HB 2012 is pending in the House Rules Committee. Chairman T.J. Shope is refusing to bring the bill before the committee. On Wednesday, I called his office to ask why he is holding the bill. Patty, his legislative assistant, did not put my call through and had no explanation of WHY. I asked that Shope give me a call. I have received no call. Thursday morning, I again called his office and was advised that neither he or his assistant were in. Seems our legislators/staff only have a 4 day work week. Perhaps that is why the bill has not come up as they do not have time to consider all the pending legislation with only 4 days of work. Of course, the word on the street is that GovernorDoug Ducey’s office has requested the bill be held. Surely the Governor does not favor the unlimited use of proxies at our political party meetings. How could it possibly benefit him? WAIT!!! if he controls the legislature and the AZGOP Chairman — no, that could not be, the Governor working against his own party interest? A couple of days ago, AZGOP Chairman Jonathan Lines, in his daily article to the faithful, discussed the California billionaire Democrat who plans to dump millions in Arizona to help democrats seize control. The Chairman finished his article with: “I’m betting on you, the men and women who form the backbone of our party. That’s why it is so essential that we stay motivated and active, every single day, to fight back against Tom Steyer and his paid operatives.” Could it be that Lines is finally beginning to realize that the life blood of any political party is feet on the ground by an active PCs.? If we have a 1000 P.C.’s state wide and they spend 10 hours per year walking their neighborhoods, that is 10,000 hours of free advertising. How much would it cost for that much coverage on television, radios, newspapers etc. By the same token, if you have 1,000 proxies just how much time will they contribute? The purpose of limiting proxies is to force the recruitment of PC’s who will be active - not just a piece of paper. Perhaps we should let Shope (602-926-3012), Mesnard (602-926-4481) and the Governor (602-542-4331) in on this so we can move HB 2012 forward. Alex Meluskey has invited me to appear on his Saturday show tomorrow 6am on 1130am KQNA, 4 pm on 1100am KFNX, and at 9pm on 960am KKNT. Please tune in.
Political Activist Lolly Hathhorn: “I say ‘enough’ is ‘enough’ concerning John McNasty. The man has not represented AZ since last year! He has to be in Washington to vote in order to represent us. How long can he stay home and still be considered active? Does he get paid for being at home? I’m sure he is glad not to have Obamacare as insurance since I’m sure that his treatments are not cheap. I do not understand how he can just stay home and not retire! Where are the rest of the Republicans of AZ? Nobody seems to be adamant about his resignation – or maybe they just don’t care. How about it folks, let’s get going and call for his immediate resignation. He needs to set our people ‘FREE’ and let somebody else represent us. His treatment of my President Trump has been disgraceful and hateful and, of course, jealous as all get out. TRUMP WON, Get a Grip! God Bless America, my President Donald J. Trump, our troops and most of all, the State of AZ! MAGA!
Activist Dennis Zinke: Please watch this video and listen to the comments made at the end of the video: Bruno Barn Moving. You should also watch the next video: Another video, from another perspective on the Bruno barn moving. The comments made regarding this activity as well as at the end of the video should give us all something to think about. I was not raised on a farm, but I still remember my relatives doing the shocking, followed by the threshing. Maybe we need to go back to this type of activity if we are ever to be one nation. It certainly gave the people of that era a much better perspective of working together and why we won two world wars. Somehow, following WWII we thought we knew it all, were invincible, whatever; but America is going much like the Twin Towers. Like President Lincoln so aptly put, “"America will never be destroyed from outside. If we falter and lose our freedoms, it will be because we destroyed ourselves"and if you will allow me, one additional quote from this man I highly regard, “All the armies of Europe, Asia and Africa combined, with all the treasure of the earth (our own excepted) in their military chest; with a Bonaparte for a commander, could not by force take a drink from the Ohio, or make a track on the Blue Ridge, in a trail of a thousand years.” Let me just state for the record, I have very little respect for Trent Franks. Franks could have prevented the headaches and the hassle Sheriff Joe Arpaio had to deal with from Obama. Sheriff Arpaio was doing what we the people asked of him. Franks was not!
Marianne Ferrari, LD20 PC and State Committeeman-- We are hearing that the Rules Committee is burying the proxy bill HR2012, despite the full year of effort by Archie Dicksion and the cogent commentary given at the recent House committee meeting. Anyone who believes this is the end of it, take note:
1) This Situation Is A Litmus Test, And We Must Make The Most Of It
2) This Issue Has The Potential To Unite All Voters--Conservatives, Democrats, And Independents--Against The Re-Election Of Every Member Of The Legislature Who Slights This Bill.
3) If We Can Expose It Broadly Enough, Between Now And November, It Is Even Possible That Successful Write-In Candidates Can Be Elected In Their Places.
HAVE they really stopped that bill dead in its tracks? HAVE they really beaten us again? Is there NOTHING we can do, now that they have signaled they will not bring the bill for a vote? I learned something last year, while challenging the AZGOP via organizing a special meeting to remove the chairman. There is only one thing wrongdoers fear, and that is EXPOSURE, the single most powerful antidote to lawlessness. I learned something else about this that I feel is even more important: It doesn't matter if you win or lose the actual battle for the issue that exposes them. It ONLY matters that they be exposed. To get our heads on straight to accomplish this, we need to: Turn our backs on any concern over losing the proxy bill. Turn our backs on our anxiety about losing yet another battle. Define winning as exposing. Period! Anything else we win is just extra. The more exposure, the more winning. The byproduct of exposing will be the same one that I--and those who helped publicize the removal--experienced last summer: We were happy warriors. We won by exposing. And it was exciting and very satisfying to win. Read full article at www.SpeakUpSaveAmerica.com
Tom Morrissey, former AZGOP Chairman: The Tide Is Turning - against the Establishment Elite Ruling Class in Texas and that stubborn fact should be front and foremost in the minds of all of us who are engaged in the bitter battle to take our country out of the destructive hands of those whom we have misguidedly trusted for too many years. This article about the Primaries conducted on Tuesday 3/6/18 in Texas, in which anti-establishment, pro-life candidates, swept many Establishment candidates from the upcoming general election ballots. And in California, the downfall of liberal extremism is gradually coming to hand as the exodus of the working class grassroots is huge and constant - in leaving that once great state leaving a host of illegal alien "immigrants" sapping their resources. The streets of LA, San Diego and San Francisco are littered with garbage and other refuse amid the tents and sleeping bags all over these once great cities, especially in front of their City Halls. California is rapidly turning into Venezuela, in that, like Venezuela, that was once the economic engine of South America, that is until Hugo Chavez brought Socialism, and within eight years it completely destroyed their economic system. Stay strong folks -we have a country to save. We can't allow ourselves to become California, or Venezuela.

US Senate candidate Dr. Kelli Ward of Arizona yesterday in response to media reports of a $500,000 contribution to KelliPAC, a super PAC supporting Dr. Ward's candidacy: "Andy Beal is a patriot and a strong supporter of President Trump; I am honored to have his support. Our campaign continues to build strength and momentum because Arizona voters are ready to send a conservative senator to Washington who will not bow down to the Establishment. President Trump is already making tremendous progress, and with more reinforcements in the U.S. Senate, we will accomplish - together - even more of the America First agenda."

ELECTED OFFICIALS COMMENTARY
Maricopa County Supervisor Bill Gates : 2018 is officially in full swing. Spring training is here, the Phoenix Open was another success, and the Prickly Pedal continues to grow in to a world class mountain bike race. While those community events have taken place, we have been just as busy at Maricopa County with positive work being done each and every day. My colleagues and I voted to approve early retirement for one of our favorite K9s, the District 3 Farm-City breakfast is right around the corner, and I had the pleasure of touring the Registrar of Contractors office to experience how they are working to make government more efficient. It truly has been a great start to 2018 and I encourage all of us to get out and enjoy all that Maricopa County has to offer during the beautiful month of March.
