REPUBLICAN BRIEFS

Happy Father’s Day

Payson Activist Shirley Dye: I hear that some Valley folks wanted to hear from Philip Haney so they are invite to come to Payson Thurs., June 22nd, mid-day to hear him speak to the Payson Tea Party and the Rim Country Republican Club groups. Please come to beautiful, 15 degree cooler Payson and join the Payson Tea Party and community members at 11 am to order lunch and socialize. At 11:30 am, hear now retired Homeland Security and Border Patrol employee Philip Haney. As a Department of Homeland Security Specialist on Islam and terrorism, Philip Haney understood his job was to follow the evidence where it led. When it led to subversive organizations protected by “Political Correctness” he didn’t back down, valuing the security of the United States above his career and personal well being. His agency’s response was to shut down cases including one that might have prevented the San Bernardino attack. Haney is co-author of “See something, Say Nothing” (an expose of the submission by Obama Administration to the Muslim Brotherhood), and will present why he was awarded the American Freedom Alliance award for Heroes of Conscience. Haney is coming on his speaking tour from Washington DC and has appeared on many major news programs. For more info call 928-951-6774.

President Trump’s legal team is zeroing-in on the relationship between former FBI directors Robert Mueller and James Comey to argue that their long professional partnership represents a conflict of interest that compromises Mueller’s integrity as special counsel. full story here

An Other ‘Witch Hunt’: Federal Civil Rights Agency Will Investigate The Trump Administration A federal civil rights agency announced an investigation into federal civil rights enforcement within his administration. The United States Commission on Civil Rights, a bipartisan agency charged with advising the president and Congress on civil rights matters, unanimously approved a comprehensive two-year probe into the "degree to which current budgets and staffing levels allow civil rights offices to perform" their functions within the administration, said the agency in a statement. Dale Gohr of Clarkdale: When Jeff (Flaky) Flake was elected, he was considered a reasonably solid Conservative. Then he started walking in the footsteps of John (Flakier) McCain, who has become even more of a disaster than he was when he sabotaged his own 2008 Presidential bid and paved the way for Obama to bring in his “disastrous, dictatorial and destructive” plan to “fundamentally transform America”. McCain helped Hillary Clinton in the disastrous over throw of Egypt and Libya. The Egyptians ousted the Muslim Brotherhood from power within about a year; however, McCain tried to entice or force ‘The Egyptian Government’ into reinstalling that mess. It was a remnant Muammar Gadhafi followers that helped us clear out the mess after the 9-11 Benghazi attack that murdered Ambassador J. Christopher Stevens, Officer Sean Smith, and SEALs Glen Doherty and Tyrone S. Woods. President Obama and Clinton are not the only ones with blood on their hands - there is some for McCain and Lindsey Graham. The Obama Administration (Hillary Clinton, John Kerry, with direct support from McCain, Graham et; ) has been trying to force islamic control of the levant. Both Flake and McCain show their scorn and disdain for our President. We elected a Republican President, thus we expect these Senators to cooperate toward solid goals of a common agenda. However our two Senators have isolated themselves and back the opposition with some of the most “delusional rhetoric” that has ever come down the Pike -- causing hate and discontent almost every time either of them open their mouth. Their asinine comments about Trump indicate their miserable attitude toward the Republicans who voted for them. In part that problem (started by the Establishment Republicans) has escalated into division in the Arizona Republican Party while the State Republican Hierarchy intentionally tries to derail the Primary Vote. What a horrible web of division and deceit.

CONGRESSIONAL STATEMENTS/ACTION

(300 word limit. If statements exceed the limit, it will be edited)

Rep-Gosar-Celebrates-Trump-Administration-Ending-Obama-Era-Amnesty-Policy

Congressman Paul A. Gosar in response to Department of Homeland Security Secretary Kelly’s rescission of the Obama-era Deferred Action for Parents of Americans and Lawful Permanent Residents (DAPA) program: “Ending the DAPA program is a long overdue victory for the Rule of Law and our Constitution,” stated Gosar. “This amnesty program was yet another example of gross overreach by an out-of-control Obama Administration that trampled on the clear jurisdiction of Congress. One of the hallmarks of our Constitutional Republic is the separation of powers among the branches of our government. When President Obama took action by executive fiat in defiance of Congress, it was an affront to every bedrock principle of this country and opened the door to further expand a monolithic federal regime. I applaud Secretary Kelly and President Trump for rescinding this lawless program and their stalwart commitment to upholding the Constitution and heeding the will of the people. The list of federal judges, states and Members of Congress who have long-opposed the DAPA program is long and I am pleased that we can finally report a victory on this matter. However, our work is not done and we still need to rescind other lawless Obama immigration policies. The Central American Minors (CAM) program and the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program should be the next two amnesty schemes, created by the Obama Administration without the consent of Congress, terminated by the Trump Administration.”

Congresswoman Martha McSally: This week our nation reeled from an attack on Congress. Wednesday morning five people, including Congressman Steve Scalise, two Capitol police, and a current and former staffer were shot at an early morning practice ahead of the Congressional baseball game. They are still recovering from their wounds. Democrats and Republicans came together for the Congressional baseball game on Thursday night in a touching example of how our country can unite in the wake of tragedy.I joined Fox News during the national anthem and beginning of the game to share my thoughts on how we can come together. It's up to each of us to look into our hearts and make this week's tragic event a turning point in our nation. The rhetoric, the vitriol, the demonizing, the hatred—it must end and we have to change the way we interact. We need to be able to debate sincerely held beliefs but not be disagreeable to each other. All of us--our community, our public officials, our country--need to unite so that this marks a true change in our nation. At the game I conducted a Facebook LIVE session with my friend and colleague from across the aisle, Congresswoman Kathleen Rice (D-NY) to discuss the game and increase bipartisan camaraderie in Congress. Congressman Will Hurd (R-TX) and Congressman Scott Peters (D-CA) joined us as guests and Secretary of the Air Force Heather Wilson also stopped by to chat. Please join me in keeping Congressman Scalise and the wounded in our prayers. Just a reminder that you can always contact me with your ideas and opinions by emailing me through my website, mcsally.house.gov.
