Congressman Trent Franks: America is $20 trillion in debt and approaching a sovereign debt crisis. We seem helpless to step back from the brink of socialized medicine. The federal bureaucracy is out of control. The very foundations of the nation continue to be stained by the blood of over a million of its own preborn children every year. The leading sponsor of terrorism in the world is on track to legally gain nuclear weapons. Our military and the nation's place in the world in general have been devastated by the Obama years. Is preserving a tyranny that, when voting on a bill, the minority in the Senate is empowered to obstruct the combined will of a majority in the House, a majority in the Senate, the President of the United States and a national election, is more important than our desperate need and ability as a nation to address these critical issues when now may be the only chance we ever have? Really?? Sen. Mitch McConnell...Please...for the sake of this and future American generations..... Tear down this wall!...
LD26 Precinct Committeeman Nancy Jenkins: I am one of those Republicans scratching their heads over this alleged poll data that the Ward campaign is touting. I agree whole heartedly with Jacque Leslie's assessment of the following: Remington Research conducted a poll on 11/16/16 where the 3rd question was, if the Republican Primary candidates were Jeff Flake, Kelli Ward and Jeff DeWit for whom would you vote. The response was DeWit 38% , Flake 30%, Ward 15% undecided 17%.According to Ward’s poll on 7/21/17 in a four way senate race the votes would be as follows: Ward 30%, Flake 19%, DeWit 5% , Graham 2% and undecided 44%. DeWit went from 38% in 11/16 down to 5% in 7/17? This makes absolutely no sense since he has done an exceptional job as state treasurer and was highly regarded as Donald Trump’s COO/CFO.polls/remington-research-groupward-surging-against-flake
And here is a quote from Dustin Stockman regarding their poll : “The other big thing we got from this survey is that, despite media rumors, Jeff DeWit and Robert Graham are basically unknown with Republican Primary voters,” Stockton continued. “These numbers make it clear that we’re the only campaign with a credible path for Republicans to hold Flake’s seat.”
And about Jeff DeWit being an unknown. Besides being the COO/CFO for Donald Trump’s campaign and being on national TV regularly he received more votes in his election than any other politician in Arizona history. 1,063,472 votes to be exact. treasurer-dewit Why isn’t the Ward campaign addressing this? They certainly spend plenty of time posting all over social media so why do they choose not to respond. My guess is they think over time we will forget but we won’t. True conservatives in our state certainly want to see Flake get replaced but not with someone who is scamming the voters to raise money for their campaign. Arizona deserves a better candidate!
Activist Andrea Kadar, Sedona: Did you know that our beautiful state of Arizona has a terrible human trafficking problem? Did you know that Arizona law enforcement is dealing with bothlabor and sex trafficking of minorsall over our state? Did you know that there is a demand for sex with minors even in our rural counties? Did you also know that buyers all over Arizona are searching ads, every day, on certain websites looking to “hook up” with young girls and boys whose pimps/traffickers are advertising their services against their will? The Coalition Against Human Trafficking, Northern Arizona, has been speaking at Republican meetings all over Sedona, Cottonwood, Payson, Showlow/Snowflake, and Flagstaff about this issue and we want to speak at your Republican meetings in central and southern Arizona in 2017/2018. When we speak to your club, we bring local law enforcement with us to broaden this important conversation. We are determined to make Arizona a “fly over” zone for traffickers, facilitators and buyers; we have every intent on protecting our Arizona children and our families. Join us to stop trafficking by scheduling a speaker: call or email Andrea Kadar, Sedona, at 281-682-8743(cell) or andreakadar7@yahoo.com
Activist Nancy Russell Plencner: Wondered if you could provide a good email and phone # for each of our R delegation. Every time I have tried to call the phones ring and ring, if I get a recording it is to say the mailbox is full. The emails I get from McCain and Flake can never be responded to. I spoke personally to David Swiekert - last year we are his constituents and members of the Ftn. Hills Republican Club - and asked to be placed on his information/communication list. Gave him my card with email and mailing address and have never heard a word from his office. Editor’s Note: Goggle the delegate member you wish to reach, click on their “contact us” tab to send an e-mail to them.
Gary Kiehne, A Former Arizona Congressional Candidate: Even without a calendar, you’d know its election time by the sudden reappearance of Senator Jeff Flake within the state’s borders and on television. His handlers have clearly decided the way to sell Flake to Arizona as a conservative is to rebrand him as Senator Barry Goldwater, even brazenly stealing the title of Goldwater’s iconic book, “The Conscience of a Conservative.” But Flake is no Goldwater. When Flake refers to Arizonans as “nativists” and “protectionists” because we believe in sane immigration and trade policies, he is using “fightin’ words”!
What is wrong with calling illegal immigrants, illegal immigrants? What is wrong with basing our immigration policies on what is best for America, rather than what is best for the Third Worlds impoverished masses that all want to come here? (Some seeking paradise and a brighter future, others a government handout.) What is wrong with advocating America-first trade policies, rather than tolerating one-sided trade deals that suck money out of our economy and yank jobs from our shores? Is it really “protectionist” to show spine when advocating for the people whose interests you are elected to represent? The late Senator Barry Goldwater was not a “globalist.” He was an America-first patriot.
In his new book, Flake says, “if we’re going to be a governing party in the future, and a majority party” we need to change our approach (to his own brand of Republicanism.) I might point out to the Senator that we already are the majority party now! As an unofficial member of the Senate’s “Surrender Caucus,” he has become so accustomed to surrendering before a battle is fought that he should probably be forgiven for not recognizing we hold the majority. And when he does pick a battle it is within his own party, namely with President Trump. As a member of the Senate’s “Gang of Eight” he honestly believed that if we gave the Democrats everything they wanted up-front in the reviled immigration bill, the Democrats would honor their word to give Republicans everything we wanted later. Much later. Really, Jeff? If you really believed that, I have some Ocean Front Property I’m dying to sell you. Senator, show me when that has happened in the last 70 years? See complete statement at fightin’ words Kiehne is a business owner, rancher, and unabashed Trump supporter.
Brian Reilly, Former LD22PC: On, 8-7-17-BriefsRandy Miller wrote: “We created the federal government…” And, “No one is disagreeing with you about the 4th Amendment and protecting our rights from bad law enforcement...” Randy, yes “We the People” created the Constitution for the United States and the 4th Amendment in the Bill of Rights. The 4th Amendment is my point. But, is former Sheriff Joe Arpaio in agreement with us after some 50 years in law enforcement? Here’s what Joe says “(A.)” in his 7/14/2016 deposition: Q: “But where’s the Fourth Amendment, where are you getting that from?” (A.): “It’s coming in under the federal law, the Constitution of Congress…” Q: "So is the Fourth Amendment something that Congress Passed? "(A.) “The Constitution.” Q: "Are you sure?” (A.) “To my knowledge, it’s the Constitution, the amendments and so on.” (page 28, lines 7,9,11,13,14,15) Q: “And you used the term ‘reasonable suspicion.’ Is reasonable suspicion another way of saying ‘probable cause’?” (A.) “Not Really.” (page 30, lines 10,13) According to Black’s Law Dictionary, the terms are synonymous. Here is the Sheriff of one of the largest law enforcement organizations in the country, struggling with the origins of the Constitution and definition of the 4th Amendment. Maricopa County is now facing $92-$100 million in costs because of Arpaio’s apparent lack of understanding of the 4th Amendment. The 4th Amendment is at the very heart of this matter. Tom Morrissey wrote: “What have you done that could even come close to what Sheriffs Mack and Arpaio have done in [the] cause of protecting "WE the people"?” Mr. Morrissey, I developed the plan for “We the People” to get Arpaio to investigate the Obama birth certificate. Arizona Secretary of State Bennett got us answers May 22, 2012. Unfortunately, Arpaio gave us theatrics until December 15, 2016. flake-v-arpaio-2016-07-14-arpaio-deposition2014/04/15/richard-mack

LD22 PC/SC Lori Hack in response to LD6 Jacqueline Leslie: I love how you avoided the substantive issues I brought to your attention. I still await your adult like responses. Most honorable Republicans follow George Washington's advice: "A good and faithful servant is never afraid, or unwilling to have his conduct looked into, but the reverse; because the more it is inspected, the brighter it shines." - George Washington, letter to Tobias Lear, Mount Vernon, June 15, 1791. Have a great week!
LD21 PC Randy Miller: This may ruffle some feathers, but it is a constitutional question. Maybe it has already been heard, I don't know. But it still seems to me to violate our State Constitution.
General issue on property taxes and the Arizona Constitution - I had an interesting phone call from a nice former PC from LD 22. I don’t remember her name. We talked about many things, the first being my comments regarding education and funding. She brought up an issue that the Peoria School District had done in the 1970’s that granted “Tax Exemption” status to Sun City residents on their school property tax. This is something that both she and I agreed was not a fair or equitable situation, and one that puts a greater burden on property owners that don’t have this exclusion.
There is also another exemption or penalty for those that are listed as “non-primary” residence. I did a little research and believe these property tax practices, regardless of how they were implemented, and either by state statute or district; I believe may be in violation of our state constitution, specifically; Article II, Section 13 of the Bill of Rights; and/or Article IV, section 19, subsection 13.
Section 13. Equal privileges and immunities No law shall be enacted granting to any citizen, class of citizens, or corporation other than municipal, privileges or immunities which, upon the same terms, shall not equally belong to all citizens or corporations.
19. Local or special laws Section 19. No local or special laws shall be enacted in any of the following cases, that is to say: 13. Granting to any corporation, association, or individual, any special or exclusive privileges, immunities, or franchises.
Now, it appears to me that Sun City, being excluded from school taxes, or having an “immunity” is in violation. Also, Article IV, Section 19, subsection 13 doesn’t allow for a local, or special law of this kind. If you are a senior, “Same Class” and you don’t live in Sun City and are paying school taxes on your property, you are not being equally treated and aren’t receiving what should belong to all citizens of this class."
Francine Romesburg: I generally don’t do this but Jim Waring is a fantastic Phoenix City Councilman. If you came to our Tea Party meeting when Jim spoke, you would have heard just how much he knows, pays attention, and cares about the people in his districts – 2, 4, 6 & 8 in Phoenix. Strong Conservative, strong on fiscal responsibility, and accountability and responsibility, and much more. This is an important election in the city of Phoenix and how this turns out affects surrounding cities, how they are run, what happens, and how money is spent in each city. What one city’s Council does affects other cities’ council. Really does. Please Remember to Go Vote! Turn In Your Early Ballot!
