A New Day, A New Shenenigan: Yesterday morning’s Briefs8-16-17-Briefs. posted that volunteers wishing to help at the Aug 22 Trump Rally in Phoenix should contact the Trump-Pence Team’s official volunteer coordinator Marina DeWit at Marina@JeffDeWit.com for vetting and security purposes. A few hours later, AZGOP Chairman Jonathan Lines sent out a rally message reading:“…we need your help to register voters and work this exciting event.” Lines message directs the volunteer to http://www.ourcauseourvoice.com/volunteer/ which opens under the AZGOP header and reads, “President Donald J. Trump is coming to Arizona and we need your help to staff this event and register voters” and “Register now to help our team welcome President Trump to Phoenix” -- implying the AZGOP and Lines are involved in planning the rally. As the day progressed, Briefs learned that the Trump-Pence Team’s Arizona Senior Advisor Jeff DeWit (aka AZ State Treasurer) is in complete charge of organizing/coordinating, staffing the upcoming Tuesday rally. Marina@JeffDeWit.com is the correct/official volunteer contact. AZGOP/Lines are NOT in charge of hosting, staffing, welcoming, greeting, security or gathering volunteer information for this Trump-Pence Team event… which prompts some folks to question why Lines sent out his message and whether it was a veiled attempt to garner a list of potential volunteers to work for Establishment favored 2018 candidates in the future. LD18 PC Larry Hilliard: An email from Jonathan Lines arrived regarding the AZ Democratic Party HQ not flying an American flag. Really? This is such a big issue that you have to make a stink about it? Apparently "Our team" dropped off a flag that wasn't put up because they don't have a flag pole. Well, perhaps their lease agreement prohibits them from putting one up. Bottom line, doesn't the AZGOP have bigger things to worry about?

LD20 State Committeeman Marcus Kelley? How do you know a RINO is lying? Her mouth is moving. On July 31 on Sonoran Alliance, the RINO/Establishment/liberal/neo-con faction of our party tried to criticize those collecting signatures for a special meeting to remove our state party leadership because those behind the effort said they don't need a reason to remove party leaders. It’s true: state party bylaws don't require a reason to call a special meeting. Despite the absence of a requirement for a reason in the bylaws, the reasons for calling a special meeting to remove our leadership have been restated repeatedly. Similarly, state law does not require a reason to recall a state legislator. Funny, the RINOs act like it's a big deal that no reason is required to have a special meeting, yet it didn't stop the same faction from gathering signatures to recall Senate President RussellPearce and forcing a recall election by putting up one-term RINO candidate Jerry Lewis. Sorry, RINOs, your criticisms are hypocritical for at least three reasons:

· you didn't let the lack of a reason stop you when it came to recalling Sen. Pearce;

· you didn't support efforts in the state legislature to require malfeasance as a prerequisite for a recall;

· and you've had decades to add such a requirement to the bylaws and you didn't.

The criticism from the RINO/establishment faction is also stunningly hypocritical because they incessantly decry personal attacks and factionalism, yet they do nothing but personally attack special meeting leaders and divide Republicans. What the RINO wing did to conservatives with the removal of Pearce is now being revisited, to a much lesser degree, on the RINOs. Recently, on Facebook, one RINO snidely said that a conservative had a beam in his eye. I'd say the RINOs have a forest in theirs.

Navajo County Republican Committee Chairman Steven Slaton to Gila County Republicans: Thank you for the invitation to The Gila County Republican Party’s 2017 Reagan Day Dinner, with special guests Congressman Paul Gosar, and Senator Jeff Flake. Along with KFYI talk show host Mike Broomhead - who trashed Kelli Ward on his radio show. For God sakes, Shirley,these people are not good guests and surely not conservatives, except Congressman Gosar. Since Kelli Ward has NOT been included as a speaker, and we do not support Senator Flake because of his constant downgrading of President Trump, we will not attend. Good luck with your dinner! I’m sure you are fully aware that Senator Flake does not want to DRAIN THE DC Swamp. And I’m SURE you are as well fully aware that Senator Flake also does not want to secure our Border, defund plan parenthood; and he really is not willing to get rid of OBAMACARE and all of HIS health care subsidies. He copied the great Barry Goldwater’s Book title. He is a poor excuse for a United States Senator!!!!

PC Art Olivas, JR: What I have seen and learned in the GOP 'Good O'ld White Boys Party - This in my personal observations and experience. When JD Hayworth asked my wife and I to join the Republican Party, become PCs and work to make a difference in our government. LD16 (now LD27) Chairman Constantin Querard was a lobbyist; but let me tell you we got a lot of work done! After “CQ” moved, someone by the name of Steve (never heard of him before) became our chairman, then came Chairman Terry Rapp (I had never seen or heard of him before either). Then I ran for LD chairman, after helping every one that ran for office in our LD and the Republican Party in Arizona - financially or working with signs and handing out literature. I ran against Ron Harders. I think I got 8 votes out of 38! As Dan Coleman said later in an email that he and Ron didn't want me leading the LD. We all know all that we got out of Harders was that he was 83 yrs. old and sometimes acted like he needed help going to the bathroom. Now we come to our present Chairman Brandon Jones! Never heard or knew anything about him until he ran for chairman. Again I ran for chairman and got 3 votes. Brandon has not been to many meetings as he is in Taiwan, I believe. What I have come to believe is that the Republican Party will not let you represent them if you are not white or kissing their a$$. Hell, if you don't believe me, look at John McCain, Bruce Ash and their RINOs efforts to keep Gabby S. Mercer out of office!! We need to drain the swamp here in Arizona. The Az. GOP needs to know AZ is not all white. Can any body prove me wrong? I know other people would like to know the answer, too! I say what I believe! If you want to know what I have done Google my name; you may be surprise. I will never be politically correct, nor bow down to your unlawful demands.
